Center for Individuals with Autism Project

Center for Individuals with Autism Project aims to transform an unused gymnasium into a comprehensive rehabilitation center for children with autism. The existing structure faced issues of dysfunction and spatial disorganization. This project focuses on creating a user-centered environment that supports the sensory, social, and cognitive development of children with autism. During the transformation process, a design approach sensitive to the children’s needs, ensuring safety and balancing stimuli, has been adopted. Taking into account factors such as acoustics, color usage, and spatial organization, a relaxing atmosphere has been created with curved forms and soft lines. This project could serve as the first step in creating small-scale public and special education centers across various regions under the Ministry of National Education.
